I just deinstalled Eclipse 2019-03 and installed 2019-12 (4.14.0) b/c I could fix this bug https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=560062 Then I installed javaFX and Mylyn (I assume Bugzilla is part of the Mylyn install) Now I have the same problem: An internal error occurred during: "Initializing Eclipse Error Reporting System". Could not find satisfiable constructor in org.eclipse.epp.internal.logging.aeri.ide.notifications.MylynNotificationsSupport Can I continue with my development work without being impacted by this latest bug? If your workbench works correctly, you can safely ignore this error. Most likely this is broken because javax.inject is no longer exported by the platform: https://www.eclipse.org/eclipse/news/4.13/platform_isv.php#javax-injext (In reply to Rolf Theunissen from comment #3) > Most likely this is broken because javax.inject is no longer exported by the > platform: > https://www.eclipse.org/eclipse/news/4.13/platform_isv.php#javax-injext As Aeri has been shut down (bug 551898). It's best if it's not installed at all. If you still see it installed on latest version please open bugs against the concrete deliverable so it gets fixed. Mickael, would you please investigate this? It might be smth to fix and even release RC2a. I've opened bug 561089 to track that. Hello I have de-installed and rebuilt my IDE from scratch. I am now on this version and build: Eclipse IDE for Enterprise Java Developers. Version: 2020-03 (4.15.0) Build id: 20200313-1211 OS: Windows 10, v.10.0, x86_64 / win32 Java version: 1.8.0_171 Test: Check for updates No repository found at http://download.eclipse.org/efclipse/updates-released/3.6.0 When into Check for Updates and un-ticked checkbox for e(fx)clipse at this location, but left it checked for this location: http://download.eclipse.org/efclipse/updates-released/3.6.0/site No further errors after that. Everything seems find now. Thanks. Thanks for testing! |
