In the Expressions view, the new expression text box is not updated while typing. Selecting the box and typing an expression nothing appears on screen but the input is actually inserted, since when pressing the enter key the typed text appears. This is quite annoying since it forces the user to "blind type" the text, making the  modification of an existing expression almost impossible.

CDT 9.9.0 with Eclipse 2019.09 on ArchLinux, Plasma desktop 5.16.5.

I can reproduce it on Ubuntu 18.04 on Gnome. But I can reproduce it with Eclipse SDK without CDT so I'll change the Product/Component.
