Hi Wayne,

Can we please choose a name that is not a description of the project. This name cannot function as  trademark as it is merely descriptive.

I believe that you had a few possibilities in your queue. Can you list them here in priority order?

Happy to do so, sorry this project is so close to the bits it is hard to step away from a functional name :)

Here is the queue, in order of preference, most are descriptive:

* Imagine (short for Image Engine)
* Eclipse Imagine
* Eclipse Imaging
* Advanced Imaging API
* ImageN
* Imaging
* Rendered Image Library (named after a key class)

Out of the above the majority are descriptive names, ImageN appears to be the most likely. We are looking to rename to include "Image" or "Imaging" in the description as the existing name built around "raster" is specific to the mapping industry and too LocationTech specific.

We have completed our trademark review. The trademark name ImageN is now approved.
