Description Jonah Graham CLA 2018-09-03 05:21:47 EDT
The version of GCC/G++ on CDT's HIPP is now very old, from the 4.8.x branch created in 2013 and last updated in 2015. Is it possible to get a newer version? Ideally the 7.x branch?

If this is not something straightforward on the current HIPPs, will it be possible on the new infra, if so we (CDT) can wait until the switch.

Sorry, this fell trough the cracks. It will be possible on the new infra, since you can use docker images. If it's not too urgent, we'd rather spent the time to set up the new infra. :)

Yes lets wait on new infra. CDT is ready to move to new infra when you are ready. A can put aside plenty of time from the 12th of Nov. That should give me enough time to get everything up and working in time for CDT's 2018-12 M3 contribution on 26 Nov.

The CDT JIPP has been migrated to the new infra. Custom docker images can be used now, therefore closing this.

Please re-open if anything is missing.
