Bug 531978

Summary: Type Filter preferences don't let me add certain packages
Product: [Eclipse Project] JDT Reporter: Jason <mirraj2>
Component: CoreAssignee: JDT-Core-Inbox <jdt-core-inbox>
Status: CLOSED WONTFIX QA Contact:
Severity: normal
Priority: P3
Version: 4.7.2
Target Milestone: ---
Hardware: PC
OS: Mac OS X
Whiteboard: stalebug

Description Jason CLA 2018-03-04 13:01:44 EST
1. Go to preferences -> Type Filters
2. Click "Add Packages..."
3. Type "org.omg"

Actual: Nothing populates
Expected: There should be results that populate because the IDE was trying to import the following reference when I had typed "InputStream" in the code: org.omg.CORBA.portable.InputStream

I used to filter out all of org.omg.*, but now I can't. So now my InputStream's don't auto import which is really annoying.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet. As such, we're closing this bug.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it and reopen this bug. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
