Description Brian de Alwis CLA 2018-01-15 10:06:09 EST
I usually launch my Eclipse instances using _Debug As_ with a collection of method/line/exception breakpoints. I very occasionally hit a situation where the target runs significantly slow. Using _Skip All Breakpoints_ restored normal performance. And I discovered that this performance hit seems tied to an errant Java line breakpoint in one of my source projects, as using "Delete" on the "Java Line Breakpoints" group element in the Variables view solves the problem.

I don't have steps to reproduce, but I will endeavour to save my markers file when I hit it next.

I've marked this as 4.7, as I recall hitting this problem for a number of years, but have never been able to reproduce it.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet. As such, we're closing this bug.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it and reopen this bug. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
