We need the equivilent of IColorProvider and IFontProvider (which I've written,
but not yet checked in) for tables(ie: getX(Object, int) methods).  This can
/probably/ be deferred until 3.X

I'll vote for this to happen. Especially the IFontProvider you've written it 
is sorely missed :)

The IFontProvider should be in HEAD tomorrow.  I needed it for some other work
I've been doing.

It's quite hard to work with tables without these interfaces.

I see that it can be emulated by having the label provider implementing
additional interfaces .... I can live with that for now, but this bug report
should be resolved some day.

We hope to get to it in 3.1 - thats why it is resolved later and not closed.

Should have a suggested implementation we could look at it in the 3.1 stream.
