Description Kasandra Darwin CLA 2017-11-20 10:29:42 EST
Hi Davide, Jurgen and IP-Team,

We need to secure the trademark for the project name.

Name: Eclipse CROSSMETER
Short name (id): CROSSMETER
Project proposal: https://projects.eclipse.org/proposals/eclipse-crossmeter

Davide, Jurgen: if the name of your project has been used by you or your company, and/or if there are any Domain names associated with this project, please complete the Trademark and Domain Name Transfer Agreement [1] and send us a scanned copy.

IP-Team, please initiate a trademark search/transfer for CROSSMETER.

Thanks,

Kasandra

Hi Davide and Jurgen,

Once the Project team confirms either: (a) no prior use of the name CrossMeter either in a registered or unregistered capacity; or (b) completes the Trademark Transfer Agreement and Domain name transfer, and returns it to us, the project name CrossMeter is approved.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks,

Sharon

Hi Jurgen,

Can you please confirm if this is a new name that has not been used previously?

Thanks,

Kasandra

The name CROSSMETER has not been used in any official sense by our team. We have had it as one of the alternative names for the EU project on a shortlist, but for tactical reasons we chose the CROSSMINER name for the EU project proposal. So, yes I can confirm that CROSSMETER is a new name.

Thank you for confirming. Since there has been no prior use, this bug is now resolved.
