Description Andreas Sewe CLA 2017-10-10 04:01:12 EDT
Testing the Oxygen 1a RC2 Java EPP package, I found that New > Package on a JavaSE-*1.4* project offers a "Create package-info.java" checkbox (which I didn't expect) but then creates a "package.html" (which I also didn't expect ;-).

IMHO, a minimal change that doesn't surprise users is to relabel the checkbox for projects < JavaSE-1.5.

See bug 86168 comment #29. This scenario in a real project which is < Java 1.5 is very rare nowadays. Hence, it can be left as it is unless someone provides a high-quality patch.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet. As such, we're closing this bug.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it and reopen this bug. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
