I love the new tab look (at least on Mac OS X)!
However, there is one thingI don't like: the tab's borders are too dark.
As a result the overall look is still dominated by lines. In addition, since the curvy lines aren't 
antialiased, they look rather jaggied.

I suggest to use a slightly lighter border color.
Please compare the original look (first attachment) with my kacked look (second attachment)

I don't see a big difference, the second one looks a little bit lighter,  
could you just have another look at these Andre to ensure they were the images 
you intended to put there.

On my Mac LCD the difference is huge. One reason that you don't see a big difference, is that the Mac 
uses a different Gamma-value than Windows.

I've combined both original attachments into the following new attachment.

tab borders are now the same as the title bar.  In fact this might not be 
exactly what is being requested here, so once trying any build after today, 
please report how that looks on MAC.

The original comment about colours being too strong has been fixed.  Also the curves have been 
improved.
