Here is a proposal for the description:

The Capella Industry Consortium is organized under the Polarsys Working Group, and is dedicated to supporting the ecosystem around the PolarSys Capella project with vendor neutral and open governance. Capella offers methodological guidance, intuitive model editing, and viewing capabilities for Systems, Software and Hardware Engineering.

Feel free to make suggestions.

Comment 3 Etienne Juliot CLA 2017-09-01 04:25:34 EDT
I propose these modifications:
- remove Polarsys prefix "around the Capella project" (it was already explain 10 words above that is under the Polarsys umbrella)
- "Capella offers methodological guidance, intuitive model editing, and viewing capabilities for Systems, Software and Hardware Engineering." -> "Capella is a System Engineering solution which offers methodological guidance, intuitive model editing, and viewing capabilities for Systems, Software and Hardware Architects."
Comment 4 Benoit Langlois CLA 2017-09-01 04:28:49 EDT
"[Capella is a] System [Engineering solution]" => "Systems"
Comment 5 Christopher Guindon CLA 2017-09-07 10:29:25 EDT
Gael, please confirm once the text is final and we will help you get these changes up to our website!

Cheers,
Comment 6 Gael Blondelle CLA 2017-09-12 13:10:55 EDT
So in summary, the text should be:

"The Capella Industry Consortium is organized under the PolarSys Working Group, and is dedicated to supporting the ecosystem around the Capella project with vendor neutral and open governance. Capella is a Systems Engineering solution which offers methodological guidance, intuitive model editing, and viewing capabilities for Systems, Software and Hardware Architects."

@Etienne, @Benoit can you approve with a +1?
Thanks

Comment 8 Benoit Langlois CLA 2017-09-13 04:37:05 EDT
Two proposed modifications in our side:
- "to supporting the ecosystem" => "to developing the ecosystem"
- "systems engineering solution" => "MBSE solution"
Comment 9 Gael Blondelle CLA 2017-09-13 14:19:42 EDT
Another tentative:

"The Capella Industry Consortium is organized under the PolarSys Working Group, and is dedicated to developing the ecosystem around the Capella project with vendor neutral and open governance. Capella is a MBSE solution which offers methodological guidance, intuitive model editing, and viewing capabilities for Systems, Software and Hardware Architects."

@Benoît? @Etienne? Is it Ok for you?

Comment 11 Stephane Bonnet CLA 2017-09-14 02:57:57 EDT
Two minor changes (vendor-neutral & "an MBSE"

"The Capella Industry Consortium is organized under the PolarSys Working Group, and is dedicated to developing the ecosystem around the Capella project with vendor-neutral and open governance. Capella is an MBSE solution which offers methodological guidance, intuitive model editing, and viewing capabilities for Systems, Software and Hardware Architects."
Comment 12 Gael Blondelle CLA 2017-09-14 09:28:37 EDT
I think we are good to go with after another review ans two small changes by one of my colleagues:

The Capella Industry Consortium, part of the PolarSys Working Group, is dedicated to developing the ecosystem around the Capella project with vendor-neutral and open governance. Capella is an open MBSE solution which offers methodological guidance, intuitive model editing, and viewing capabilities for Systems, Software and Hardware Architects.

@Chris, Can you proceed to the update with this text?

Thanks!

Sure, but I am missing some information:
Here's what I have so far:

Title: Capella IC

Logo: attached to this bug

Body: The Capella Industry Consortium, part of the PolarSys Working Group, is dedicated to developing the ecosystem around the Capella project with vendor-neutral and open governance. Capella is an open MBSE solution which offers methodological guidance, intuitive model editing, and viewing capabilities for Systems, Software and Hardware Architects.

website: https://www.polarsys.org/capella/industry-consortium.html (Is this correct?)

charter: ??

mailing-list: ??

wiki: ??

Assuming that I am using the correct URL for the website, I am missing the charter, mailing-list and wiki url.

For example, these are the links we are using for Papyrus IC:

mailing-list: https://polarsys.org/mailman/listinfo/papyrus-sig
