hs_err log for Right Click crash.
The archive I'm using. [erdfeltj@wsdeap01:archive]$ md5sum eclipse-SDK-3.0M7-solaris-motif.zip baa0f4e14d54196d55fa7820d13e9a2a eclipse-SDK-3.0M7-solaris-motif.zip Downloaded off of official site. (not labelled as Integration or Nightly) Update: This crash is not limited to the Package Explorer. Right clicking on anything with a context menu will crash 3.0M7. Navigator, Editor Tabs, etc... Yet, starting 3.0M6 on the same platform causes no such crash. Duplicate of bug 51645. I may not change the status of this bug to duplicate. |
When I rightclick on the project name eclipse dumps core and gives the following. (Full log to be attached to bug report). <snip> An unexpected exception has been detected in native code outside the VM. Unexpected Signal : 11 occurred at PC=0xD4CB4FC0 Function=XFilterEvent+0x24 Library=/usr/lib/libX11.so.4 Current Java thread: at org.eclipse.swt.internal.motif.OS.XtDispatchEvent(Native Method) - locked <0xf5c19088> (a java.lang.Class) at org.eclipse.swt.widgets.Display.readAndDispatch(Display.java:2155) at org.eclipse.ui.internal.Workbench.runEventLoop(Workbench.java:1550) </snip> Using: Eclipse 3.0M7 $ uname -a SunOS devbox 5.8 Generic_108528-27 sun4u sparc SUNW,Sun-Fire NOTES: This occurs regardless of project. I can even start with a clean install of 3.0M7 and attempt to right click in the Package Explorer with no projects (intending to import one). This does not occur with 3.0M6 on the same platform with the same JVM.
