Does LocationTech have a download page? The links we add to the main download page are to the community download pages.
Comment 6 Paul White CLA 2017-06-12 15:09:07 EDT
It does - it's laid out the same way as Eclipse IoT, if I'm reading it right.

https://www.locationtech.org/list-of-projects

But when looking closer, there are a few projects that don't have download information there. Let's get the projects to make sure there is detail listed for all of the projects, and there is then stronger justification for adding LocationTech to the eclipse.org/downloads page.

Sorry I missed the first URL with the list of projects. Would it be possible to list the projects so those that have downloads available are on top?

I think that's a great idea, but I'll need to leave it to the WebDev team to comment on the feasibility. On the up side, it should act as an incentive to projects to keep the download information current.

I will investigate this. I should be able to let you guys know tomorrow what options we have for this.

This is possible and I already have a solution for this.

I created a patch (https://foundation.eclipse.org/r/1648) for showing projects with downloads urls first on /list-of-projects.

This has been updated on locationtech.org.

Eric, you should be able to merge your patch for the Eclipse download page now.
Comment 15 Eric Poirier CLA 2017-07-05 08:32:13 EDT
Hi Thea,

The patch I created is now merged to production.

Please reopen if there's an issue with the Locationtech block on the Downloads page.

Thanks!
