The JGit HIPP seems to be down. I tried to restart it from HIPP control but this didn't work and I got this error

this is critical as the change switching master from 4.8.0-SNAPSHOT to 4.9.0-SNAPSHOT builds was submitted but not yet built. So switching EGit also to 4.9.0-SNAPSHOT is blocked by this issue.
