Nexus screenshot

The procedure to recover Nexus password fails; an error is raised during this process(see attachment). The message is "There is a problem resetting your password. UserManager: 'LDAP' doest not support write operations.".

remark:
* My Nexus account was created recently (issue https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=516208), and since i was not able to login into Nexus i tried to recover the password, that is when i got the error.

Please try to login with your LDAP user ID (janascimento) and your eclipse.org-account password. Your Nexus password can not be reset from the Nexus UI.

Hi Frederic, thanks for the tip, but unfortunatelly i had tried that already, but it didnt work neither.. i tried as login:
- janascimento
- jbotnascimento@gmail.com
- jbotnascimento
- janascimento@eclipse.org

.. and no joy; that is why end-up clicking in reset-password. Btw. I'm sure about the password, i have them in clear-text locally, and i just logged in in eclipse.org and jenkins with it.

You have another workaround i could use?

Sorry, my bad, I was just reminded that we do not allow individual committers to log in to Nexus.

Out of curiosity: why did you want to log in to Nexus?

Hi Frederic,

I wanted to log in to upload some artifacts without passing by JIPP instance; therefore helping me to discart errors with Nexus instance, i.e if i managed to deploy with the interface but did not with the JIPP i would know that the issue is related with JIPP configuration/permissions and not with Nexus.

Thanks for your help.

Best Regards,
Jander Nascimento

Marking issue as invalid, since the funcionality is not available for the commiters on purpose.
Comment 6 Frederic Gurr CLA 2017-05-15 11:42:46 EDT
Thanks for the feedback and sorry that we don't provide this functionality.
