Not on the 3.0 plan Reopening now that 3.0 has shipped Can the developer comment as to whether or not this is likely to make it into 3.1? This is not currently on the plan. Should you wish to submit a patch we would be happy to look at it. I'd love to contribute with a patch, but I feel like this one is quite a stretch as a first attempt at Eclipse development. It would require some UI to allow the user to specify the folders to exclude, storage of the choice(s) in workspace preferences, and modification of the dialog to use that preference. At the very least I see that as requiring to learn SWT, JFace, the preferences API, and the existing workings of the Open Resource dialog, which I understand inherits a bit from superclasses. I'm afraid that is a very daunting list for such a small feature. Am I wrong? moving Open Resource related bugs to Szymon. Szymon, please move between you and Krystof as needed. Let me know if you have any questions. These are all the bugs I had related to OpenResource. The type filtering for open type? The only one I can find is the working set selection. I will mark it as related to bug 135731 and reassign it to Krzysztof. Committed for build >20061019 |
