Expected view after hard restart after unchecking "Oomph>Setup tasks>skip auto (...) at startup"
With "cold restart" I meant "soft restart". Unfortunately, I can not edit the original comment It sounds like you've recorded preferences in your user.setup; when when not recording those will be applied. Use Navigate -> Open Setup -> User to inspect this. Selectively delete one or all preferences in your the "User Preferences" folder or delete that whole folder to forget about any and all recorded preferences. |

I assume, that, it is independent with the darkest dark Theme plug-in, since I noticed similar problem with the standard Dark Theme (without investigating that much) Configuration: * Ubuntu Gnome 16.04 * Eclipse Neon 2 Release (4.6.2) (Build id: 20161208-0600) → I also noticed, that a similar behavior is reproducible in orion (but I did not investigate further) * Oomph: Version: 1.7.0.v20170228-1751, build 2891, Commit: 134aa961e7b6db2765bcd44eb8aff8ae88b304a9 * Darkest Dark Theme: 1.7.2.201703081929 com.genuitec.eclipse.theming.feature.feature.group * Scala IDE and some other plug-ins, but I assume, it is not relevant here == STEPS TO REPRODUCE == 0/ Fresh install of eclipse for Java developers with a fresh workspace 1/ Install the darkest dark theme (I guess optional) 2/ In Preferences > General > Appearance Set "Theme" = "Darkest dark" Set "Color and Theme"= "Classic Theme" 3/ Apply (it will be prompted to restart) 4/ Restart (I call this Eclipse restart a "Cold restart", since it seems, that not everything will be started) 5/ Everything worked, enjoy your dark theme (after the restart) 6/ In Preferences > Oomph > Setup task Ensure "Skip automatic task execution at startup time" is UNCHECKED 7/ Close Eclipse 8/ Start Eclipse == EXPECTED BEHAVIOR (see attachment RL_expected-after_hard_restart.png) == - The same appearance is visible as after the "cold restart" - In Preferences > General > Appearance "Theme" = "Darkest dark" "Color and Theme"= "Classic Theme" == FOUND BEHAVIOR (see attachment RL_is-after_hard_restart.png) == - An inconsistent mix of themes / color themes in the Editor is visible - In Preferences > General > Appearance "Theme" = "Classic" "Color and Theme"= "Classic Theme" == Remarks == - I do not know whether it is a problem of the Platform UI, which would not register the themes as expected, or if the values are overwritten by Oomph (when closing) or badly read (on starting) and would do my best to support the developers when required. - If I check "Skip automatic task execution at startup time" then it will be fine after each Hard Restart - If I check "Skip automatic task execution at startup time" then a Hard Restart, then uncheck, it will occurs again after the next Hard Restart (which was a clue for me in the direction Oomph save/load)
