Need to move to tycho 1.0.0 it has one breaking change. 

Compiler
(BREAKING CHANGE) tycho-compiler-plugin's useProjectSettings default value is now true so that .settings/org.eclipse.jdt.core.prefs are used by default if existing.

fill release note https://wiki.eclipse.org/Tycho/Release_Notes/1.0.0.

Need to make useProjectSettings to false in the parentpom

What is this error? have you opened tycho bug? Also what exactly are you doing with it so I can reproduce it?
