From the webmaster inbox:

Dear webmasters,

I tried to create an account with the email address '(snip)' but couldn't login after validating the account.
I tried to reset the password thinking I mistyped with the same effect.

I finally tried to change my password to a password with only letters, I could login.

I narrowed it down, and it's the final single quote: ' that is causing the issue.

I also saw an issue with accentuated characters in names.
My first name is Gaëtan (e with two dots on top, in case it's not displayed correctly in this email too)
and is displayed as Gaëtan.

===
Then a follow-up:
when updating my first name from the "Account settings" page, the accentuated characters are now displayed correctly.

I don't believe this is an issue anymore since we moved to accounts.eclipse.org/.
