Bug 501620

Summary: Local variable Debug expressions don't work
Product: [Eclipse Project] JDT Reporter: Key Lawson <key.lawson>
Component: DebugAssignee: JDT-Debug-Inbox <jdt-debug-inbox>
Status: CLOSED WONTFIX QA Contact:
Severity: normal
Priority: P3

Target Milestone: ---
Hardware: PC
OS: Windows 7
Whiteboard: stalebug

Description Key Lawson CLA 2016-09-16 18:11:11 EDT
After entering a simple debug expression, like variable name: c2

I get in red '<error(s)_during_the_evaluation', and --

Puzzle19 [in K [in [Working copy] K$Puzzle19.java [in <default> [in src [in K$Puzzle19]]]]] does not exist

---

The problem seems to be my using a '$' in the project and class names.
I created project and class 'KPuzzle19', copied and renamed my source file,
and the same debug expressions worked properly.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet. As such, we're closing this bug.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it and reopen this bug. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
