Description martin shultz CLA 2016-09-05 05:35:18 EDT
I am using a translator, if something is not clear, ask.

Please add to the Eclipse Java SE mapping path in the Workspace to display the name of the sheet in the selection of open files. When the open file becomes too much appears to the right of the list of open tabs.

Often I have is that this list multiple files with the same names and to find the necessary to direct the mouse on each of them to the tooltip shows the path in the Workspace. Or at least to be able to include this feature in the settings.

So it would be much more convenient!

Martin, I do not understand the issue.

Could you please add a screenshot and a simpler description?

Thanks for reporting!

I take a screenshot. It is seen a drop-down list of open file names. The problem is that such a list of hard to select the desired file, they are referred to the same, and the full path to the project folder not visible here. In my projects often meet the same file names. Now, to select the desired file is necessary to move the mouse over each of them and watch the tooltip path.

So I suggested to display in this drop-down list once more and the path to the project folder. At least an option if someone do not like.

In your screenshot I see the tooltip text that shows the full path of the file in your project, and identify the file in your workspace. http://imgur.com/LCL37Bj.png

Your request, is to add an option to show the full path for each file.

Yes, but I mean the way the display directly in the drop-down list, and not in a tooltip. Now we need to direct your mouse over each line and watch a clue to choose, and so it would be seen immediately.

I sometimes open a bunch of identically named files, and continually drive names to see the tooltips are not very nice.

However, even if to do as I ask, what in the band tabs would still show only the name (path longer names), and there they were not inserted. How to make it easier to select the files here, I do not know.

Okay, if you want to strip tabs and pop-up list of all displayed consistently (pop-up prompts), let them remain so.

Who had the idea - maybe in your program to make a point "Always display the window select button" or some similar name. Now, this button is displayed only if the tab too much. Then I could always watch the full path of the open files in the drop-down list, even if the files are not too many. A tab on the band in such cases would not be watched.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
