I always use "Link with Editor" in the Package Explorer.

If I compare a file in the compare editor from the EGit Staging view the package explorer selection is not updated.

Sergey, do you know if that is a problem in the compare editor or if that must be handled in EGit?

"Link with Editor" in the Package Explorer works for me in a Compare editor opened from the Git Staging view.

Looks like I have this issue in the Project Explorer. Does Project Explorer work for you?

You're right. It doesn't work with Project Explorer.
