screenshot dark theme on Mac (EGit master, Eclipse Neon)
I can't reproduce this on Mac using recent EGit from master with Eclipse Neon
I switched to
- Theme "Dark"
- Color and Font theme "Default"
Uncommitted change background = RGB(42,42,42)
Uncommitted change foreground = RGB(114,157,186)
Which Eclipse platform version are you using ?
Did you restart Eclipse after changing the theme to dark ?

dark theme, reduced palette on Mac
When selecting Color and Font theme "Reduced Palette" I also get black on black on Mac
Uncommitted change background = RGB(255,255,255)
Uncommitted change foreground = RGB(0,0,0)
Not sure where this needs to be fixed
same problem with black text on black background on Mac when using Dark theme and color and font theme "Classic Theme" So on Mac / Neon the only dark theme variant working properly seems to be color and font theme "Default" It is a platform ui issue. another problem I observed is that switching the theme in Neon is extremely slow, the preference dialog hangs for a long time and sometime never recovers. Though the changed settings seem to be persisted since killing and restarting the process shows the new theme. Dark Theme needs to be fixed for special cases, when decorators are added in outline and package explorer.
