I'm seeing the exact same issue. Out of the box Eclipse looks pretty bad on OSX. Created attachment 264115 [details]
Buttons
You can also see it on dialog buttons. There appears to be additional whitespace above the text.

Created attachment 262696 [details] eclipse preferences menu with font descenders clipped After installing Neon, the menu items in eclipse preferences are being displayed too close to each other. The font descenders on lower case letters such as p, g, y are being clipped off. More spacing is needed between the menu item rows. See attached screenshot for example.
