Description Wayne Beaton CLA 2016-06-23 12:50:14 EDT
The EDP currently requires a minimum of two weeks of "community review". Our processes generally take longer than this, but we'd like to try and streamline those process to make project creation happen significantly quicker.

I would like to remove the two week community review requirement.

Removing the required two weeks of community review from the EDP won't by itself make the process faster, but taking it away will remove an artificial barrier and make it easier for EMO to refine processes.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.

We've changed around some of the way that we do things, so maybe it's not so bad...

We do require time, for example, to fully vet the wordmarks, alternative licenses and what-not, so the two-week period is actually handy.

If you believe strongly in pursuing this, please reopen.
