Description Lars Vogel CLA 2016-05-31 07:55:29 EDT
+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #492020 +++

Bug 492020 relabed the menu entry to "Open Projects from File System" but the dialog title still says: "Import Projects from File System or Archive".

We should be consistent here, hence it should be "Import Projects from File System". I think Archive does not need an extra listing, as it is also file based.

Why not "Open Projects from Filesystem" ?
Comment 2 Dani Megert CLA 2016-05-31 08:08:29 EDT
It's a bit more complicated.

Currently the wizard is also listed as import wizard. We will have to use different wording depending on whether we come from the Open command or the import wizard.

Sorry, wrong copy and paste. Of course we should use "Open Projects from File System" as we now use also on the menu.

I think that would be over-design and we already have several "Import" wizard which do not use the import word in their title, for example the Maven import wizards.

I'd say, it depends on how much work is needed. And I agree, we have some that don't follow the general pattern.

What should we do with this bug?
At least, I don't think it's critical enough for 4.6.2.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
