Whiteboard:

Description Christopher Guindon CLA 2016-05-05 11:56:12 EDT
While signing the CLA form, users can't change their "Legal Name".

The field is disabled and we are using the First and Last name from LDAP. If the user needs to change their name before singing the CLA, we require them to change it under the "account settings" tab.

The "legal name" field for the CLA form requires the user to enter his full name as written in his passport (e.g. First Middle Lastname)

We would like to make this field editable in the CLA form. If we do so, the Legal name in the JSON object might not match what the user has in LDAP (account setting).

Janet, do you have an issue with this change?

None, provided the information is all tied to the userid established when the users account is created.

Thanks,
Janet

Not sure the appropriate protocol, but since I initiated this bug with my report of CLA difficulties, I just wanted to report that I've now been able to update the passport legal name field as required to complete the CLA.

David,

Thanks for reporting this issue and verifying that it is now working. We really appreciate you taking the time to stick with this!
