Can you please try with Neon M6 or preferably an even more recent I-build? There have been a lot of HiDPI related changes that went into M6 as well as post M6 in the current M7 release cycle, I suspect this would be already fixed, please confirm the same, thanks! I have the same problem with Eclipse JEE Neon M6. Note that it doesn't matter which GTK is used (I usually set SWT_GTK3=0 but this doesn't help in this case). My configuration: Eclipse Neon M6 for JEE Developers Fedora 22 x86_64 OpenJDK 1.8.0_77-b03 Created attachment 261215 [details]

Would you please try with latest I-bulid ? There were a few fixes iin this area which should have fixed it. Maybe a stupid question but what is I-build? (In reply to Andrej Podhradsky from comment #5) > Maybe a stupid question but what is I-build? I-builds are integration builds. You can get them from here http://download.eclipse.org/eclipse/downloads/ The latest I build is here http://download.eclipse.org/eclipse/downloads/drops4/I20160428-0800/ I tried Neon M7 for JEE developers and it looks good (In reply to Andrej Podhradsky from comment #7) > I tried Neon M7 for JEE developers and it looks good Closing as per this comment. If it still happens please reopen. |
Created attachment 261059 [details] eclipse_neon_Linux_hidpi_bug I have previously been using mars 4.5.2 which works great and looks beautiful. I thought I would try the Eclipse Neon milestone (M5) and was surprised at super-sized toolbar icons. I have attached a screen shot, along with my Font DPI settings and monitor resolution. In the image you can see the system toolbar item size at the top of the image along with the eclipse toolbar item size.
