Received 'unauthorized, check email address/user id and password' type of message.  
Created account second time, same results.  Then checked email and saw two emails from eclipse.  clicked on link in 2nd one and tried to log in again.  same results.  Clicked on link in 1st email and tried to log in again.  This time it told me 'account already exists' and to change my password.  Changed password - 'successful' message.  Tried to log in again and got the 'unauthorized, ...' message as before.  Logged into bugs.eclipse.org successfully (obviously).

Just tried to log in to www.eclipse.org again.  success.  What a painful process.  Way too time consuming.  I just wanted to reply to a forum post. :(

New accounts are required to confirm their email address before they can login.

Since you created this bug, we migrated our new account form to drupal and made some improvements to this process.
