Description Ivan Matavulj CLA 2016-03-31 03:20:46 EDT
After opening Git commit overview window in Eclipse, and then, with the popup still showing, switching to another window outside Eclipse , and then back to Eclipse, the Git commit window is not presented again, but only the Eclipse main window, which is now unclickable. There is no way to switch back to Git commit popup window. I need to restart the IDE.

This is probably due to Ubuntu (14.04) Unity window manager (default one) that I am using, but probably still be worth visiting from Eclipse side.

Thanks.

Can you please try to reproduce it with the latest 4.6 integration build?
Also can you please try to check if using GTK2 "fixes" the problem: you have to set SWT_GTK3=0 env. variable before starting Eclipse.

In gnome shell one can use ctrl+tab to switch to background dialogs like that. Check Unity docs for similar shortcut.

BTW not reproducible on Fedora 24 so most probably a Unity bug and totally not related to Gtk2 port.

Unity isn't even around any more on the latest Ubuntu 18.04, so I'm going to mark this one as WONTFIX.
