Open up Orion compare editor and select file contents. Now right click the selected content and press delete. What do you see, the content is now gone. Orion should enforce files to be non-editable in the compare editor.

It's intended that changes can be made and saved in the compare editor, so what you're seeing is expected behaviour.  (Example case: select two files in the navigator, right-click -> Compare with each other).

If I'm misunderstanding your case then please follow up here with more details.  Assuming I'm not, closing report.
