can you give an example? Is it like 'Disable NLS-String warnings'? See bug 48205 for instance. In a general manner, all optional problems could offer such a quickfix, which means that when adding new problems, users would easily be able to disable them. Indeed, disabling the optional check is a quick fix as well. We have to come up with a nice UI if we do so. If the project doesn't have it's own compiler settings than disabling the option "globally" might not be the expected behaviour. We have to keep this in mind when providing such a quick fix. The alternative could be that the problem hover contains a link that opens the option in the preference page |
