Description Christian Pontesegger CLA 2015-10-01 02:54:17 EDT
I just checked the Advanced Scripting Environment (EASE) forum and it seems that the forum index does not work properly.

* some posts show up twice, eg "Rhino resets the class path" even when I am sure it was posted only once. One of those posts does not contain responses, the 2nd does. Still the original post has the same timestamp as the copy.

* the one thread mentioned above holds several messages twice in a weird order.

* the "Welcome to eclipse.ease" message is not listed last, even if it is clearly the oldest message.

Some of those posts are actually duplicates. We've had some issues in the past with the bridge to the older newsgroups double-posting and while those are not all resolved, they happen much less frequently.

I've tried to remove as many useless posts as I could to clean things up.

As for the ordering of the posts -- I'm not sure how the forum decides to index the order. I agree it looks odd but I don't have a tool to force a reindex. I tried creating a new reply, but that didn't seem to affect it. Perhaps a new thread would do it.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.

This now seems to be resolved.
