Description Marcel Bruch CLA 2015-07-15 05:53:11 EDT
Submission from the user feedback form:

It is quite annoying when a long-running task (like dependency resolution in the "Add new software") is running, I put Eclipse in the background, only that it pops up a detected UI freeze which appears above even other programs (and stays there, covering a part of my web browser for example). And since it is "waiting for focus" I cannot even get rid of it except cancelling the task in the foreground, so I'm busy moving all my other windows so that they are not covered until the software update is finished...

---

No showing any popup iff Eclipse has no focus may make sense and is something to consider for SR1.

At very least the popup should be disposable by pressing X (I wonder that this does not work, but...)

Gathering feedback of others first before taking actions.

+1 to not showing a popup of Eclipse does not have focus. This is also quite annoying when having multiple Eclipse instances up and Mylyn Tasks pops up a pile of notifications in the bottom right corner when one is doing something else.

+1 for not showing it without focus.

I have the same problem. It gets stuck and Finish button does nothing. You run the default installation of Eclipse for Android and get lots of errors and non-sense like this popup freezing installing forever.

Daniel, which version do you use?
Can you provide steps that allow me to reproduce your problem. From the description I can't reproduce (and fix).
