Description Martin Malina CLA 2015-07-02 05:49:49 EDT
When I try to install additional server adapters, it doesn't do anything.

Steps:
1. Start Eclipse Mars R Java EE edition (eclipse-jee-mars-R-macosx-cocoa-x86_64.tar.gz)
2. In server view, start the New server dialog. Either by right-clicking and selecting New -> Server, or by clicking on the link "No servers are available..." if you have no server yet.
3. In the New Server dialog, click the "Download additional server adapters" link at the top-right part of the dialog.
Assert: A new window will open which will load the available adapters
Actual result: Nothing happens

I checked error log and there is nothing there.
I'm running on OS X 10.10.4 Yosemite (latest), Oracle JDK 1.8.0_45.

This seems very similar to what I previously reported in JBoss Tools - it was a different link in a different dialog not working on Mac:

I created a more general bug here:

Hi Elson:

There does exist a workaround, as described in https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=471717

I would suggest you either implement the workaround, or add your voice to help push someone on platform to fix the issue with SWT for Cocoa.

The new server wizard design has been changed and the link for "Download additional server adapters" has been removed from Neon and later release. The downloadable server adapter is now showing by default on the new server wizard. Therefore, I am resolving this bug since it no longer applies.
