For our current GSOC project I looked at org.eclipse.ltk.core.refactoring and saw that it is still on Java 1.4.

We should definitely update this for all the good reasons:
- Annotations are cool
- Try/with resource would be useful in at least existing warning
- Generics for the collection would help to read the code
- Java 1.4 is ancient

I started the migration and upload a WIP status soon. I update the bug report once I think I'm done.
