i had to change my bugzilla email. the change seems to be fine for bugzilla and the pmi, however the forum did create a new account which resulted in showing a message counter reset to 1.

I've merged your respective accounts together.  I've also submitted a patch to our update process to try and resolve this.

it seems that the merged account is the one with only 7 messages which is not optimal but i can add more messages over time.

regarding the patch: hope that somebody else will verify this. i won't change my email anytime soon again ...

Same for me. The message count is at 1. But if I browse to the messages by me it shows all. I hope the count will get corrected after the next message/response.
