This works fine for me on Windows 7. Working for me on Ubuntu 14.04 (64-bit) with the exact same steps. Please file a new ticket against 4.9 or 4.10 if the bug is reproducible on a supported environment. |

Steps: - Open a new workspace. - Open Error log view and open Project Explorer view in Java perspective. - In Project Explorer view, create a new Java Project "P1" and in its "src", create a new Package "p1". - Following error is logged in Erro log view and an empty child is added before the package as shown in the attached screenshot: eclipse.buildId=4.5.0.I20150430-1445 java.version=1.7.0_55 java.vendor=Oracle Corporation BootLoader constants: OS=linux, ARCH=x86_64, WS=gtk, NL=en_IN Command-line arguments: -data file:/home/noopur/workspace_test/ -os linux -ws gtk -arch x86_64 org.eclipse.ui.navigator Error Mon May 04 12:32:45 IST 2015 Cannot find navigator content extension (using triggerPoints) for object "<null>" parent path: "src [in P1] <default> (not open) p1 (not open)". Check that you have an expression for this object in a navigatorContent triggerPoints or enablement. An exception stack trace is not available.
