On the variables page of the eclipse installer:
After choosing a directory using the browse button, the text field stays empty and I cannot proceed to the next page. It doesn't get populated until I toggle the 'Show all variables' box. Then I can proceed.

I assume this is a Mac issue. I have JDK 1.6, 1.7 and 1.8 installed. No idea which on gets picked to run the installer. System default is 1.7. Happens on Mavericks as well as Yosemite.

Verified with Eclipse Installer 1.1.0 build 1106, but also happened before.

The current build is 1142. Can you please update the installer and try again before we investigate a problem that might well have been fixed already?

This has been reported already in bug 464373 but we just can't reproduce it. We need help...
