When I installed the Java IDE the default value for the Install Location was wrong. It was just "/java-latest" and made the installation process fail gracefully with an error message in the installer. This is probably a bug that has been introduced when we reworked and consolidated the computation of default values (especially in the advanced mode's Variables page).

I can't reproduce this...
