Description Kamil Bartoszek CLA 2015-04-14 19:06:08 EDT
Created attachment 252394 [details]
Text in edit filter is not updated while typing.

I opened tab with the histogram list and started typing in the edit filter, but all entered characters didn't show up in the edit filter until I pressed ENTER.

Problem occurs also on the other lists.

I have this problem on Ubuntu 14.10 and Arch Linux, however it works fine on OS X 10.10

Please could you try the latest nightly build from https://www.eclipse.org/mat/snapshotBuilds.php
We have upgraded the level of Eclipse which Memory Analyzer is build upon, so that might have fixed your problem.

I think this might be the same issue as Bug 536851.

We have the same problem in Trace Compass with a similar Text TableEditor applied to a Table cell... we got the idea from MAT, so, thanks btw ;).

It only happens with (too) old gtk3 versions on Photon.

If you find a workaround for MAT, please let us know, we will do the same ;)

I have reproduced this using a Docker image with Ubuntu 14.04 and
MemoryAnalyzer-1.4.0.20140604-linux.gtk.x86_64.zip
It doesn't occur with
MemoryAnalyzer-1.5.0.20150527-linux.gtk.x86_64.zip
MemoryAnalyzer-1.7.0.20170613-linux.gtk.x86_64.zip

I'm marking this as fixed - actually in 1.5.0 but there wasn't a target milestone for 1.5.0 so using 1.6.0.
