Update regarding the "Surface more options on the Tracing preference page" item: I do not think we can finish the remaining Platform Runtime and Platform UI projects in time for 4.5 so we should probably move it out of 4.5 possibly targeting 4.6. The update that I propose is to replace Platform Runtime and Platform UI with JDT Core and JDT UI which are already done for 4.5 (see "Depends on" of bug 441575) and then move the item to the Committed section. The undone part can be moved to the Deferred section.

+1 looks good to me.

Marking plan items as both committed and deferred is a bit confusing. I realize that the component lists show which components did the work and which didn't, but what matters is the end user point of view. Normally we pick either committed or deferred based on the overall balance for that plan item.

I think "Surface more tracing options" can be marked committed because we did succeed to surface many new options.

For the Mac Retina, it is unclear to me exactly what was accomplished. If there is new SWT capabilities but the UI is not yet exploiting it, then it sounds like overall it should be deferred because from user point of view the Retina experience is not much better. I am not a Mac user so I could be wrong here.

I've made the suggested changes and sent a note about the update plan to eclipse-dev.
