Description Christian Georgi CLA 2015-03-20 11:37:49 EDT
This is a request to update the packaged version of org.mozilla.javascript from 1.7.2 to 1.7.4 for Eclipse Mars. Reason is an issue [1] in 1.7.2 that is fixed with 1.7.4. We have verified the bug fix in our Eclipse plugin.

org.mozilla.javascript is included in features
  org.eclipse.birt.osgi.runtime
  org.eclipse.birt.report.designer.editor.xml.wtp
  org.eclipse.birt
as well as in org.eclipse.wst.web_core.feature, for which I have filed bug 462695.

The new version 1.7.4 is already available in Eclipse orbit.

Any update here? JSDT folks have included an updated version (see bug 462695).

The Mars M7 version of Orbit was just published that has not only has an updated o.m.javascript 1.7.4 (bug 464572) but also a new o.m.javascript 1.7.5 (bug 463224).

Good to know... However, it seems nobody is listening here from the BIRT committers. Do you know a way to reach out to them?

Hmm, wonder where birt-build-inbox@e.o actually goes to. Anyway, mine.

Ah, now there's a question I can help with! The "inboxes" in bugzilla go no where, but typically people can go into Bugzilla's preferences, and a few tabs over there is one for email (or something) where you can "follow" another "persons" id -- in essence, "subscribe" to changes that go to "inbox".

Kind of funny terminology, but, that's the idea.

(You can also go into committer tools and have them come directly to you, as "default email", but few people do, since then no one could subscribe to "just the inbox" ... they'd have to subscribe to _your_ id. :)

I will test if 1.7.5 works at first, so that we don't have to update version multiple times.

Thanks guys!

verified in the build from 5/26 that we are using org.mozilla.javascript from 1.7.5 for Eclipse Mars
