Description Fred Bricon CLA 2015-02-19 18:44:45 EST
https://hudson.eclipse.org/m2e/job/m2e-master/ displays :

Hudson detected that you appear to be running more than one instance of Hudson that share the same home directory '/home/hudson/genie.m2e/.hudson'. This greatly confuses Hudson and you will likely experience strange behaviors, so please correct the situation.

This Hudson:	746572082 contextPath="/m2e" at 22075@hipp3
Other Hudson:	2126023624 contextPath="/m2e" at 16578@hipp5

And then I can't restart hudson :

Your request to stop Hudson has completed. Output text: Host key verification failed.

Weird, there seems to be only one process of Hudson for m2e on the host...

I restarted the instance manually and the issue seems to be gone.

Please reopen if you are still facing some issues.

Still happening

This Hudson:	1946928099 contextPath="/m2e" at 22255@hipp3
Other Hudson:	2126023624 contextPath="/m2e" at 16578@hipp5

Ok I see.

I stopped the instance 16578@hipp5 and restarted the other one. This should be gone now.

This is coherent with what is registered in the Foundation's DB.

Matt, maybe you wanted to move m2e to hipp5?
Comment 4 Fred Bricon CLA 2015-02-20 08:30:36 EST
OK that fixed it, thanks.
Comment 5 Eclipse Webmaster CLA 2015-02-20 10:45:40 EST
The hipp5 instances must have been auto started after I stopped them manually yesterday. I've re-stopped them and have prevented auto startups pending a rebuild of hipp5.
