This is the root bug to track Java 9 support in JDT/UI.

Is there another bug for tracking java9 in core? For example I add a java9 jre, but the vminstall is not added to any of the execution environments that it should be added to.

Do you know what the bug id is Daniel ? :)

We really would like to start testing and running Java9 VM with our existing Java6,7,8 applications but can't at this moment.

The blocking but gives you the bugs for each component. The one for JDT Core is bug 457413.

FYI: We fixed the problem that you can't run Eclipse (or an RCP) with JRE 9.
