We added a terminal feature to Orion 6.0 with the intent that it would replace the shell page in the client. Work did not progress as expected in Orion 7.0/8.0 and as a result the feature as documented at https://wiki.eclipse.org/Orion/Terminal_Administration_Guide no longer works. We did not complete some administrative activities to manage the containers on the server and additionally the docker API has changed that has broken the feature. ( see Bug 441559 and Bug 441552 ).

For now, we are going to remove the feature from the client and server. We may merge the feature back in again and complete the feature work in a future Orion release.

The terminal feature and docker server bundle has been removed with commits:
