If you are editing a file, then you switch to another page (shell, git, etc), and come back to editor, you are brought back at the project root or sometimes folder, but it does not re-open the same file in the editor.

We should consider reopening the most recently edited file if the navigation does not provide any more specific context. This could perhaps be based on local or session storage rather than embedding in URL.
