Matthias, do you have a feel for how big a change it is to adopt JGit 3.5.3? I will start with moving to 3.4.2 but we can move even newer if it's a simple adoption.

if you wait a few hours you can directly update to JGit 3.6.0 which I am right now releasing ;-)

update to 3.5.3 or 3.6.0 should be simple to adopt

3.4.2 will be good for now. I have done some light testing on orion.eclipse.org. We can adopt 3.6.x when it's had a bit more soak time.
