Description Alex Alvarez CLA 2014-11-18 08:07:41 EST
I would like to be able to open a specific class with eclipse from a web page (i.e. <a href="eclipse://com.java.util.ArrayList#"removeAll,Collection"> ).
To do this, Eclipse should be able to support accepting a class and method 'url' from the command line. This request is similar, but NOT identical to Bug 305336.

We are not planning to work on it, however we can review the patch that provides such functionality - http://wiki.eclipse.org/Platform_UI/How_to_Contribute

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got
resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some
reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it.
The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you
still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is
(for whatever reason) no longer relevant.

If the bug is still relevant, please remove the stalebug whiteboard tag.
