On the orionhub server I see users with:

"GitMail": "anthony.hunter@gmail.com",
"GitName": "anthony-hunter",
"git/config/userInfo": "{\"GitMail\":\"anthony.hunter@gmail.com\",\"GitName\":\"Anthony Hunter\"}",

At some point we changed Git to use the new pref setting "git/config/userInfo" but never migrated the settings of existing users.

It is too late to fix now but at some point we need to update the migration and cleanup the "GitMail" and "GitName" properties.

Since "GitMail" and "GitName" are now settings and not profile properties, these two need to be removed from the user admin page at http://localhost:8080/profile/user-profile.html#/users/ahunter

This should be handled by the latest migration in Orion 8.0.

The changes to fix the issue have been delivered with Bug 444864 in commit:
